In this two day class, students will learn:
Gravity defying armature
-carving RKT's (same as cake)
-Sculpting with Modeling Chocolate
-Costuming with Fondant

-Students are encouraged to create their own design and costume for the pig! (but not required to!)

In this one and a half day class, we will learn to sculpt a face out of Modeling Chocolate, cover it with fondant, pipe and paint royal, airbrush, and hand painting. I will be encouraging students to come up with their own design (but it's not mandatory!). This project is great for people new to 3-D class, as well as advanced students.

n this two day class, we will learn correct facial proportion and how to properly sculpt a youthful, feminine face. We will also learn the signifiers of age, and why our pieces sometimes look older than we want them to. On the second day, we will "age" our pieces, sculpting the lines and changes brought about by time and gravity. Techniques taught: Sculpting with modeling chocolate, proper facial proportion, signs of age, sculpting realistic wrinkles and older age, painting on chocolate, realistic face painting.

I will be premiering The Goblin Class in Lima Peru! This is an intensive three day class, in which students will learn armature making, character design, sculpting with Modeling Chocolate, creating various textures for fabrics and costuming, painting on chocolate as well as fondant and much more! I am very excited to present this three day event! On days one and two, we will create a horrifyingly wonderful Zombie Cake, using modeling chocolate, fondant and other edibles, and will learn how to create the structure to support our creation. This is a skills intensive class, including armature making, creating your own dummy, sculpting a proper human face, special effects sculpting and painting, fondant draping, use of newer sugar lace and fabric materials, and more. I strive to support my students creativity, and personalizing the design of your "walker" is encouraged!
On day three (Friday the 13th!), we will load up and head to Senoia, Georgia, for a Walker Stalker Tour of various locations where The Walking Dead is filmed! We will her plenty of time to wander around downtown Senoia, which is not only a "location", but home to a great Walking Dead Store. It is also home to Nic and Norman's, the restaurant opened by Norman Reedus and Greg Nicotero, where we will have lunch! (Lunch and the tour are included in class price)
All class materials, as well as lunch and snacks daily are included. All you have to bring is your wicked imagination!

This one day class is an intensive study of proper facial structure, as well as signifiers of age. We will sculpt a woman's face, and I will then proceed to "age" mine (students are welcome to do the same). There will be a small demo on painting the face as well.

This class was originally designed to be taught at Cake Fest, which was meant to take place in New Orleans. Cake Fest has been cancelled, but I think we should still have this class!
In this two day class, some the skills I will be teaching are:
-proper facial structure
-How time and age alter a face, and how to sculpt those changes realistically
-How to animate a face with expression and create a "character"
-Sculpting ornaments for her headdress such as small animal skulls (I happen to have a wide collection for reference!), using chocolate, rice paper, fondant, WHATEVER! (I am happy to invite students to share skills for this part!)
-Painting on modeling chocolate, creating realistic eyes, etc.
This is an all inclusive class, all materials and tools will be provided, as well as lunch and snacks. AND...Since we are missing out on New Orleans, my GF and I will be hosting a fish fry/crawfish boil at my house on Thursday evening!
